The Graves Light is located about 9 miles off the coast of Boston, MA on a grouping of rocks called The Graves.

This is a super unique gift for any lighthouse lover or anyone who has a passion for the beauty of the coastline.

Each of our Oyster Shells has been hand picked off the Bayside Shores at the tip of Cape Cod, MA. The shells are gathered after washing up on the shore and you can be sure, this is after their inhabitants have moved out. Then carefully cleaned and sun dried. All of these beauties measure about 2.75 to 3.00 inches long.

As you may have already guessed, all shells will have imperfections as they used to be a home to a small animal...so no two will ever be the same. The size, shape and surface of each one will vary, and that is what makes each shell a true one of a kind, no two will ever be alike.

After we have applied the design and then seal it, we carefully gold leaf the edges and leave the back of the shell in it's natural state.

These designs have been created here in our studio and we take our time to carefully craft each individual shell.
